Easy on the eyes. There’s no point having lots of information available if you can’t see it. So when it comes to the display, the Monit takes no shortcuts. Even in direct sunlight, the high quality Japanese designed screen remains easy to read. And when the sun goes down, a bright white backlight takes over. The entire display surface is also coated with an advanced 3M anti-glare film, to prevent sun-strike and protect it from damage.
Unbelievably compact. Sometimes bigger is better, sometimes it’s not. So while the Monit maintains the same screen size as competing products, we’ve made everything else smaller. Much smaller. In fact, at just 100g, it’s up to 70% lighter than other Rally Computers. Add to this a precision molded polymer case, automotive
grade electronics, and dust sealed switches, and the result is
a premium quality product built for the most demanding environments.
Packed with punch. Whether you require dual distance counters; current, average and maximum speed readings;
a built in stopwatch; time of day clock; or a fuel gauge, the Monit has the features you need. And when you’re not busy racing, have a bit of fun using the built in 0-100kph and quarter mile sprint timers. With two models to choose from, you’ll be able to get the performance you want, at a competitive price.
Throw away the manual. Lots of features aren’t much use if you have to be a rocket scientist to use them. That’s why the Monit has been designed with a very simple user interface. This mobile-phone style system uses icons and clear on-screen instructions to guide you through even the most advanced features. Whether novice or professional, you’ll enjoy the simplicity of the trip meter that’s as easy to use as your portable music player.
Distance Counters The Monit’s two independent distance counters can be cleared or preset to any arbitrary value. They can also be configured to count up or down, operate at either one metre or ten metre resolution, and display in either miles or kilometres. These features make the unit perfect for all types of rallying and road survey work.
Current and Maximum Speed Using an advanced software algorithm, the Monit can update its current speed display up to four times a second. This means you get a smoother and more responsive speed readout, perfect for monitoring official speed restrictions. The Monit can also store and display your vehicle’s maximum speed.
*Average Speed Useful for touring or TSD rallying, this function allows you to accurately determine your vehicle’s average speed over a stage or event. The function continually computes the average speed since it was last reset.
Stopwatch With its built in stopwatch, the Monit allows you to accurately record your stage times without the need for a hand held timer. For the ultimate in convenience, you can even configure the function to be controlled from a dedicated external switch.
*Time of Day Selected models include an accurate time of day clock. This displays time in 24 hour format to the nearest second. It can quickly be set to an official rally clock, allowing you to easily keep track of time control sections and servicing intervals.
*Fuel Gauge For professional teams, managing your vehicle’s fuel level is vital to being competitive. Selected Monit trip meters include a powerful fuel measurement system. This will work with all different tank shapes, and includes an easy to use calibration system that supports up to 10 set points. The current fuel level can be displayed on the main screen, or on a full screen ‘gauge’ display. This later feature is particularly useful for a service crew during refuelling, and includes a bar graph that shows the percentage of fuel in the tank.
Sprint Timer Using the Monit’s built in 0-100kph or quarter mile* sprint timer, you can accurately measure your vehicle’s sprint performance. Perfect for evaluating serious modifications or just for bragging rights. The timer starts automatically when the vehicle begins moving, and stops once the target speed/distance has been reached.
Auxiliary Inputs The Monit includes two programmable auxiliary inputs. These can be connected to either foot or hand switches, and configured to perform a particular function. For example, set one to reset the Total distance counter, and the other to dim the backlight. Use them to customise your setup to best suit your needs.
* Only available on TC200 model.
